Whats new on MapItPronto?
  • 09/15/2012 - Fixed a bug causing garmin uploads to fail.
  • 09/14/2012 - Removed flash graphs, instead used png images to support ipad/iphone.
  • 09/11/2012 - Switched to a new hosting service, and converted database.
  • 06/25/2009 - Check out our new "zooming" graphs just below the map when viewing a route! These graphs allow you to select portions of your ride, then zoom in to see that area of your ride in detail.
  • 10/10/2008 - Follow the road feature no longer will use highways.
  • 12/01/2007 - Maps now have a terrain view so you can see what hills you are climbing right on the map. Just click the "Terrain" button in the top right corner of the map.
  • 09/10/2007 - Checkout the new Uploader Utility to help you upload your Garmin GPS rides. This utility makes uploading a breeze!
  • 07/12/2007 - Possibly the best feature to have been added to the site yet... Please checkout the new "follow the road" feature I have added to the Route Planner. When the checkbox is checked on, we will calculate the route between two points following the road. This will greatly enhance the ability of users to create new routes.
  • 06/29/2007 - Added a link at the top of the GPS and route planner pages that switches from english to metric and visa versa. I also added a route search capability a while back that I neglected to mention earlier.
  • 04/25/2007 - Added Average Speed History graph. This graph becomes visible if you ride the same ride more than once. Just make sure you save your rides with the same exact name.
  • 04/10/2007 - Added Save Feature to GPS routes so you can now save your GPS rides. It will then appear in the recent rides dropdown
  • 03/18/2007 - Added Velo News RSS reader to the homepage! woohoo!.
  • 03/06/2007 - Enhanced info/mile and lap markers. Improved performance, and underlying datastructures to help with future enhancements.
  • 02/10/2007 - Added Average Speed and Time Calculator to the Route Planner.
  • 02/06/2007 - Added Ascent and descent to the Route Planner, and added ascent and descent ft per mile calcualtions to both the Route Planner and any page viewing a GPS route.
  • 01/13/2007 - Cadence data is now graphed and the average cadence is diplayed on your GPS route if you have a cadence sensor.
  • 01/02/2007 - For the new year we have added Info Markers. When not recording on the route planner, and at any time while viewing a GPS route you can click on a point on the route to see various statistics at that location. The route planner additionally allows you to move the point, delete the point, or add a new point to the route just prior to that location!
  • 12/16/2006 - The route planner now preserves the map type when linking a route (Map, Satelite, or Hybrid). If you are in satelite view when you create a link to a route, the route will display in satelite view. Previously all routes displayed in map view regardless of what maptype the user was in when the route was created.
  • 12/11/2006 - Added an "average" line to all graphs on the site so that you can see what the average speed, heart rate, or elevation is over time along with the actual speed, heart rate or elevation.

  • Also added "Average Heart Rate" as a statistic calculated on the view gps route page. This is a good indicator of how hard you worked.
  • 12/04/2006 - Route planner now saves the location you are viewing after linking to, or jumping to a location. The next time the Route Planner is viewed, the default location will be this last saved postion.
  • 11/26/2006 - Added a collapsible overview map in the bottom right hand corner of both the Route Planner and GPS Route Viewer screens. Also added Mile Markers on the route planner.
  • 11/22/2006 - Elevation data is now available in areas outside the United States on the route planner. Just turn on the elevation graph to see it.
  • 11/21/2006 - Elevation data is now saved with your route when you create one using the route planner. No more waiting for the elevation data to load when sending someone a link to your route!
  • 11/18/2006 - Drastically improved the load time of a linked route on the route planner!
